Marcus Miller’s “Tutu Revisited” tour will resume in North America starting in late April in Canada and continuing in U.S. cities through late June.
Tutu is the 1986 album by jazz legend Miles Davis on which most of the material was written, played, arranged and co-produced by Miller. The Grammy Award-winning album defined a new sound for Davis in the late 1980s.
An April 28 performance in Montreal will coincide with the opening of the “We Want Miles” multimedia exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, which runs through late August. Miller embarked on the “Tutu Revisited” tour in fall and winter 2009 with Japanese and European dates; 2010 European dates will follow the North American dates listed here.
